Happy Tuesday everyone!
This morning was a beautiful sunny morning :) We had cornbread, fruit, and orange juice for breakfast and then headed back for cabin clean up. Swimmers and boaters enjoyed this awesome weather on the waterfront during lessons. Up on the A-field sports took advantage of the sunny field.
Campers in arts and crafts cooled off in the lodge where they continued their art projects for the session. Friendship bracelets and painting have been super popular so far! For dinner today we had baked ziti and pears for dessert. Campers and staff loved this meal and enjoyed seconds and thirds before heading to rest up for the afternoon.
Campers picked out their favorite candy for rest hour and tried to rest up before general swim. The water was super refreshing so everyone enjoyed the time for free swim. This fun continued during 4th period boating, arts and crafts, and sports. After running around in sports campers had the option to jump off the tower for activity period. The LTs, the 15 year olds in Leadership Training offered yoga and bracelet making for activity period too!
For supper today was chicken melts, veggies, applesauce and chips. The fuel was much needed after a busy afternoon and in order to gear up for tonight’s game of Spies and Smugglers. Campers split into two teams and start on opposite sides of camp. The smugglers try to bring up little slips of paper with point values to the A-field, all while the spies are running to tag them and guess what pocket the paper might be in.
It was a super exciting and energetic game tonight! We ended with snack, songs, and vespers down by the waterfront. Afterwards campers went in for a quick dip to cool off and then headed to bed. See you tomorrow!
With love from Wamah,
