Good morning!

I can’t believe it’s half way through the first week of the session already! Today started off with the sun shining bright. This warm morning we had French toast and fruit for breakfast.

Afterwards campers headed back for cabin clean up and camp duties to help keep camp clean for all of us here. Classes were a blast today, especially swimming in the refreshing lake with this hot weather. Boaters this morning got to dunk their life jackets in the lake to keep cool too. In sports new groups of campers got to go to tennis and archery today to try something new only offered at camp.

For dinner we had meatloaf and mashed potatoes and then for dessert. Rest hour was much needed after a busy hot morning on the lake. Everyone got in for a general swim today, soaking up all this nice weather and refreshing water. Campers jumped off the tower, practiced their dives, dove for rings or even played mermaid with their buddies. For activity today there was lots of tower jumping, basketball playing and crafting in the arts and crafts room!

After activity period there was no cookee bell since today is the kitchen staff’s day off. So, every cabin put in their order for a deli sandwich or PB and J that gets made by camp staff. Then, campers go with their cabin to eat on all the docks around camp and by the waterfront. The pretzel buns are always a big hit.

After supper we played for Triad for evening program! It was a hit during boys camp so we brought back this game of three way soccer to get out all of our energy before heading to bed. But of course, campers enjoyed a quick dip to cool and dust off after a sweaty game. See you tomorrow!

With love from Wamah,
