Happy Friday everyone!

A bit of a sad morning today as we begin wrapping up the session! Cinnamon bread, a favorite, was served for breakfast today. Campers soaked in the delicious meal and then returned to cabin clean up to start packing up all of their things.

Swim and boating testing continued with lots of  swimmers and boaters who passed their levels and will be celebrated tonight at campfire! Everyone wrapped up their arts and crafts projects today to take home and spent their last minutes up on the A-field.

For dinner today we had Sheppard’s Pie and then sherbet for dessert. One of my favorite meals at camp, everyone went up for seconds and thirds! Today was warm and sunny so it was super refreshing. After rest hour everyone got in for general swim and campers who passed their swimming levels got to enjoy a new swimming area for the first time.

Later, new level 4 campers got to jump off the tower for the first time. And sunfish and the Hunter took advantage of the windy day to play pirates out on the water. A battle between five Sunfish boats and the Hunter! For supper we had pulled pork and pick up for dessert. So campers got to choose from left over cake, pudding, apple crisp and more!

Just before evening program campers packed up their remaining belongings and headed to the lodge to watch the slideshow of pictures from the session! Then we headed to the council ring to enjoy smores by the campfire and announce all sorts of awards. Year awards went first, kitchen staff awarded a best manners award, boating and swimming awards were announced and finally track and field awards from each event were given out. Overall a super fun evening with lots of song singing and celebrating. The night ended with a candlelight service as a time to reflect on the past two weeks at camp. While it was too windy to set them out on the lake yesterday and today we still gathered in a circle together. As a camp tradition, the boys headed to bed silently and soaked in this bittersweet moment of camp.

I hope you enjoyed hearing about these camp adventures this past two weeks! I had a blast writing this everyday!

With love from Wamah,
