Today was a beautiful, sunny day at Camp Asto Wamah, and we couldn’t have asked for better weather! After all the rain, it felt great to finally have a full day of sunshine.
We started our morning with a delicious breakfast of lemon poppy seed bread, hot chocolate, and orange juice, the perfect way to fuel up for a busy day at camp!!
Then it was off to our morning classes! Campers got to enjoy all the best parts of Asto Wamah with swimming, boating, sports, and arts & crafts. There was something for everyone, and it was the perfect way to enjoy the beautiful sunshine!
For dinner, we had a camp favorite: ziti, baguettes, and salad! After a delicious meal, campers grabbed some candy from the store and settled in for rest hour. We hope they’re using that time to write some letters home to you!
And then came one of the most exciting parts of the day: SUPPER! Tonight’s supper was a true Camp Asto Wamah classic: chicken melts!
Of course, no supper is complete without dessert, so we finished the night with some delicious chocolate cake.
Once the sun started to go down, the fun definitely wasn’t over! Campers headed out for an epic game of Capture the Flag, followed by a Quick Dip to cool off and end the night.
It was the perfect sunny summer day at Asto Wamah and we’re looking forward to many more to come!
