Happy Saturday!
We woke up to another beautiful day! Breakfast was waffles with peanut butter. After breakfast, some cabins switched bunks for the halfway point of the session, allowing campers to be on the top or the bottom bunk if they weren’t before.
We had a special program today during first period. A local rehabilitation center came to talk about owls and we were able to meet multiple owls who are currently being rehabilitated!
For dinner, we had chicken parm and spaghetti, and vanilla pudding for dessert. Everyone went in for a refreshing general swim before fourth period. For activity period, campers did yoga on the dock, played spike ball or played gaga ball.
Tonight was another one of the kitchen staff’s day off so for supper we had hot dogs, chips and cookies. Instead of eating inside the lodge, campers were able to eat in the gazebo, on the benches and picnic tables with their friends from any cabin!
Evening program tonight was garbage collector. After many campers opted to go in for quick dip, they headed off to bed before a busy track and field day tomorrow.
It’s hard to believe the session is already halfway over, but we’re looking forward to the week ahead!
Logging off from the lodge,
Kyleigh
